NIce diversity between Denmark and Norway was in Medieval 2: Kingdoms. But huscarls only for 1 faction? As far as I know huscarls were typical for Nords. True, that their armies should be practically identical. The Jutes have great shock infantry, the Geats have those 2 spear units slightly better than spear leavies.
Sure the Danes are better for attacking from the sea but in open battle they have none unic units. Once again though the point is they are all Norseman and unlike the Franks and Saxons who were culturally different in their approach to military style and arms the Geats, Danes and Jutes would have all been practically identical in look and arms.įaction traits are not unit rosters. Not to sure about the Geat's part I think the Norse have a very good roster, they are all quite similar between the Norse factions but they didn't have unique units from each other anyway? its just Geat Vikings vs Dane Vikings. See them spam nordics is like seeing ERE as persians. The game is great at so many things, but there is alot of random strange stuff that break immersion.Īnd offcorse Celts! Them beeing Nordic made me stopp playing in the west and play as ERE untill this is fixed. Most of the non Roman and sassanid world use Viking ships and eaven the steppe Alans have more viking ships than the Viking forfather geats. The new DLC with Langobards etc they have 6 special units each. I mean common?! Only special unit is cannon fodder for beowulfs ancestors?
